both Vanguard and Fidelity, and many others, have dividend focused mutual funds which target companies with histories of paying consistent and/or higher dividends. Check them out.
get a good dividend focused mutual fund. spread your money around, not in just one company's stock. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Vanguard and Fidelity have these, average about 8 % per year.
SS will be around "forever", because it let's the Gubment "play the float", gives them an excuse/reason to get their hands on your money, hold it for 40 plus years, then dole it back to you.

If it is bullion, ASEs, Canadian Maples, etc. sales tax might be charged.
If it is pre-1964, 90% silver US coins Morgan/Peace dollars, etc. then sales tax should not be charged.
