    Depends on the grade of laminate. Some of it is garbage particle board that swells when it gets wet and can chip around the edges. The vinyl I've seen like at my mom's house looks as good as any wood I've seen and is very scratch and damage resistant.

    I can see squirrel and wild rabbits just fine. But just for ME I don't think I can break the necks of critters I went out and fed everyday. Not mammals anyway. But again that's just ME. I know it's no worse than what happens cows and pigs at the processor but that's another story.
