You can get the metal carports for under 600 if you get a scratch and dent.
If you want a roof that leans onto another structure, easy to do with 3 4 X 6 posts and 12 8X16s some 2X4s (150 ft) and some tin to cover it.
All in all, the metal carport is cheaper.

Supposedly, that is the current thinking. Tje idea of venting the attic was the thinking from the mid 80s to about 2000. Current thinking is to seal it up.

Use dead soft aluminum rivets, not alloy aluminum as your boat is not hard alloy like aircraft aluminum. The alloy rivets can deform the soft boat skin before fully set, they did on me, anyway.

I would like to claim the ideas , but learned it years ago when first started to work with curing coatings.
You can get as sophisticated as you want with temp control, those parts are cheap.
For small stuff , I have used a toaster oven from the Salvation Army. Great results.
No rifle work, but an old locker with the guts from a toaster oven will work, maybe a space heater if you want more wattage. Wrap locker in insulation and install thermostat and you can go big.
With EVERYONE out of work (as per the economic doom sayers here), you should have no problem getting someone to shovel dig it.
It isn't difficult with as soft as the ground is. 2 months without rain in August is a different story.
Use a trenching shovel and a hoe and it will be done in no time.
