I could not tell if it is a short or long rifle. The long "Turkish mausers" are WW1 G98s with replacement barrels from that arsenal and a mixed bag of original mauser parts. The old 98s have been passed around the world and back, a nice piece of history you have there.

Looks like a nice unmolested rifle, as stated above all parts look right, all should be milled steel not stamped. I can't tell what the flip side of the stock looks like to see how the sling is attached. It may have been French cut to use a MAS sling for post war use by their border patrol...
