    It may be that dealers are not aware that they are available. I checked on getting a new one at two local stores and the guys did not know it was available in 9mm. One of them pulled out his catalog to check the price and it was not in the last catalog that he usually orders from.

    With the possibility of a slam fire when the slide is released, I felt it was imperative to get that taken care of. Although always pointed in a safe direction when the slide is released. There is not a good place for a gun to go off in the house.

    I have both the Glock and the XDs. The thinner XDs is great for IWB. It points well and has a good trigger. If you get a used one, just note that there is a recall on the first 100k or so.     S&W Sigma 9mm. Felt good, carried good, shot good. Just did not go bang every time I pulled the trigger. Not exactly what you want in a carry gun.
