I like it, but I really haven’t had much time on that rifle since the install. It’s solid and I like having everything neat and tucked away on the handguard.
I still had these pictures on my phone from someone asking a similar question on another forum recently. Arisaka is good to go.
For reference rifle in the picture is a 10.5” LMT MRP.

Back in the old location the prices were lower than anyone else and the inventory was second to none. I bought brand new HK and SIG guns from there for less than my friend's cost as a dealer. Since the move it's not the same.
They did the same thing for me on the 104UR. I liked the fact that they did the work as expected, for the price given, and in the time quoted. In my experience that is almost impossible to find when it comes to a gunsmith.
Today has been productive so far. I sent the SLR107CR to Two Rivers for a barrel chop/pin and weld fake booster/engraving so it will be ready for SBR conversion once the Form 1 comes back. I also ordered the correct Bulgarian handguards for the SLR104UR and a couple of more Circle 10 waffles...
Can you send me his info as well?
I need to chop the barrel/pin a fake booster and engrave my new 107CR for its pending Form 1. I used Two Rivers for my 104UR and I'm happy with their work, but it would be nice to have someone local.
Thanks! I used blue on everything as it went back together. I’ve used blue on a lot of stuff and never had an issue. I noticed the harmonics you mention just in function testing after I got it back together. Something definitely had a new sound to it.
Just do it. I love my SBRs.
My Micro conversion FINALLY came in today. It was 8 days late since USPS decided to send it to Alaska and then bounce it around Atlanta before getting it to me.
1/2x28 HBI Gen 1 Micro conversion
In Lead We Trust navy 3 lug
Silencerco 3 lug mount on an Omega 9k
The items below were on the gun...
My K conversion made it back to Atlanta from its Alaska detour, but instead of coming to me it made a trip to Marietta. :censored:
I talked to someone at the local post office yesterday and she said she would get in touch with them and get it here. If all goes well, I should have it tomorrow...
I didn't. I forgot to add it to my order and once I thought about it I just decided that I'll try it with an open end wrench.
Hopefully mine is one of the guns that barely has any threadlocker on it.
K conversion won't be installed today. It was originally supposed to be delivered on Monday, got pushed to Tuesday, and as of last night was in Anchorage, Alaska. :censored:
Looks good! My K kit was supposed to be delivered yesterday and got pushed back. Hopefully I get it today and I should be able to get it together tomorrow. I'll still be waiting on the 3 lug mount for the can though.
I've been on the waitlist for the 3 lug Gen 1 barrel since before SHOT. Finally got tired of waiting on it to come back in stock and just ordered the 1/2-28 setup and an HK Navy 3 lug adapter from ILWT. I'll rocksett the 3 lug in place and be GTG.
Just pulled the trigger on a K conversion from HBI. I'll have a Silencerco 18x1 fixed mount and factory barrel available soon if someone needs/wants them for a reasonable price.
The rifle will be going to Two Rivers either later this week or early next week. Price and turnaround time quoted were both less than I expected, and every example of their work that I've seen looks top notch.
Just sent out emails to Meridian, Two Rivers, and Ken Kubin. All three seem to have a good reputation from what I can find. The fake can is on the way to make a barrel extension out of. I'll update the thread when I decide what the next step is.
