    Best hunting rifle to use in Georgia and Alabama

    My favorite is an older model 70 in .270. However this year I've decided to go retro old school and going to hunt with a .50 muzzleloader, .35rem, and .45-70. Sort of my homage to old school. Haha. They all work if you put it in the right spot.

    OWB. I have a nice slim kydex holster for it. I either carry the 17 or the 26. Usually depending on the clothing and where I'm headed for that day.

  13. Such a thing as a decent deer rifle for $300

    Bought my oldest boy a nice Marlin X7 bolt action brand new for $260.00 at a gun show last fall. Had a scope, but I put a Nikon on it for him. That gun will do 1.5" groups off a rest. I'm was shocked how accurate it was. In .270 win.

    I have a gen1 and no mods. It's a fun plinker and sometimes will throw it in a travel bag with me if going somewhere. Couple of stick mags and the fact it also takes my daily carry pistol (Glock) mags and I'm pretty prepared.
