A family member works at DD and was part of the testing and development team. Since he works there he said it was a sweet shooter and he's looking forward to buying one himself! I'm looking forward to some reviews!
I've sold a couple that I've ended up replacing. One that sticks out is a Kimber Pro Carry II, which unbeknownst to me was my wife's favorite handgun at the time.
Good Afternoon ODT,
I wanted to post about a rifle we recently put together for one of our clients. He has been on the predator hunting scene for some time now, but never had a tried and true rifle that met all of his needs. This was in part due to the options available to left-handed...
Aside from the ODT show, the last one I walked was nearly 5 years ago, and we thought things were overpriced back then!
I worked one last year or the year before in Cartersville; decent turnout even with COVID mandates.
There was a time when Hi Points and Lorcin 380s were common on here too. Hadn't really thought about it until you mentioned something. Guess people are either holding on to what they have nowadays or selling what they think will put them out on top.
If it came down to it with that close proximity, I'd have to hold my own fighting hand to hand. The 12 gauge is not easy to reload should you miss with adrenaline pumping, and a number of the 22 lr pistols I've owned were prone to jamming; albeit they were not the highest quality.
I voted 22...
I love my 329ng, it has a scandium frame, 2.5" barrel, and makes a great woods gun. Thick rubber grips help mitigate felt recoil, but without practice, you'll be hard-pressed for quick follow up shots due to muzzle rise. I usually caution those that want to shoot it if they haven't shot 44mag...
Your best bet would be to call a few smiths and ask for quotes. Depending on the work involved it could range from having to mill the slide flat to accept the rail, tapping for screws and coating for rust prevention, or just taping for the screws.
It probably won't be an issue unless you're hunting from the ground (stalking) there are a number of manufacturers making "silent" buffer assemblies; JP enterprises, Armaspec, Trinity Force.
I was torn between Trigger Tech and Timney, ended up with the TT Primary flat trigger, and couldn't be happier. I'd agree with what others have said, a new trigger could definitely help.

This made me think of this story from 2011 when a worn-out Galco holster got into the trigger guard and manipulated the trigger.
It really just depends on the buyer if you decide to sell. Some buyers wouldn't bat an eye and think its worth the same/more while others would wonder what you are trying to cover up. Personally I don't think it adds substantial value, kind of like including a holster in a deal.
Dead drops have been working out nicely, unfortunately, it appears the alphabet boys have caught on.
Gotta say it's weird not shaking someone's hand while conducting a deal.
I got my hands on a few different options this past weekend and decided to pull the trigger on a TriggerTech Special. It had the range of pull weight I was looking for and a ridiculously crisp break. Thanks all for the input!
