Thanks for the info. You make some beautiful stuff. It looks like your pretty well set up, but if you're needing some more stuff a guy I work with dad is selling his set up. It's some good high quality tools. If I had the place for it I would get it but I don't.
How does the copper affect the sturdiness of the blade as well as holding an edge? In my limited knowledge of this it seems like copper would make a weak spot in the blade. Do the copper and the steel bond together well?
It's all in the bevel. A thin edge will be sharper by weaker. I can't sharpen anything though. I own dulling stones. Some of them handed down from my papaw. When he had them they were sharpening stones but I guess he used all of that part of of them. He always had a sharp knife on him. He...
Good start. I've wanted to try it out so bad. I just know it's another hobby that will sit around collecting dust. I'm also sure that some of the ones that you see on forged in fire as bad as they look, mine would look so much worse.
Those are sharp (like looks nice sharp). I'm sure they are sharp as well though. I would love to get into that. i love making things with my own hands. There's not more satisfaction than starting out with nothing and ending up with a beautiful product. What does a butcher knife run/cost. I...
Hell I got a mr stabby as my EDC from @chucklenut . The only time it ever misfires is if I've been working in the dirt with it. A little water rinse and in and out a few times and it works every time. I like otf personally. It fits my hands well and easier to get to the blade. My other...
Yes kydex. They dont look as good in my opinion but are easier to use. Not quite as bulky. Please don't take this as anything against your leather ones. They look great. It's really just a function thing. I like tit when they just snap on over having a strap over it to unsnap
WOW, those are nice knives. I love the look of the folded metal.
It seems like a lot of people that I've seen make there knives also do sheathes. While I like the craftsman ship and look of the leather I prefer a thinner holder for it for the practicality of it.
