I have 2 (78 and 81) and they both came bayonet sharp. You could cut yourself; but it wasn't by accident. After a few minutes on the WorkSharp, they both had edges that would cut you deep. I got mine due to be $30 and read where they made great tent stakes in an emergency.
Mid-tech if you just want to see if they are for you. Knockoffs of a lot of different knives. Of course, you will get cheaper materials and much heavier knives. Sorta like owning a VW before you drop some serious coin on a Porsche. LOL
Beautiful work! I would feel bad if I actually used one of these because they are so nice. More like functional artwork than a utility tool like more knives.
I've got several of these Boker's and the AU8 is easy to sharpen; but seems to dull quicker. I personally like the mini version better than the full size. I do like the box they come in. AK mag shaped.
For a cheap knife, get either a Glock 78 or 81. Saw back is worthless just so you know. You will have to put an edge on them as they were About the dullest knives that I have ever bought. $30 what did I expect.
Yes, they are good. They also sell scales (handles) for a lot of different brands. Give them a call and ask if you are worried. Also, they will sometimes run specials on limited edition runs (or unpopular colors) that they are trying to close out.
