I rebuilt a Yam RD350 back in the day, guy had run it down in a ditch and "mildly" bent the forks. Guy helping me had a press and just bent the fork tubes back straight, never had a problem.
good catch on the fork damage, I missed it, but I am 75 years old.
as it sits worth $500, up and running, everything working as it should its worth $2000 or more. Depending on what needs fixin', might cost a couple hundred or a couple thousand to fix it up.
back in the day these were fun, not really too fast, bikes. Much more a street bike with dirt...
get the Toyota RAV4, I got a 2015 and nothing but routine maintenance. A brake job, set of tires, battery and a few oil changes. It burns NO oil. Runs the thin synthetic stuff too. Highly recommend. Plus its thousands cheaper than the Subaru.
got a liberal pal up in Louisville who can't wait for all electric vehicles, for the public and all forms of racing too. He's all giddy about it, thinks he is being modern and progressive. For me, racing ain't racing with out internal combustion engines.
airbnb??? In Spfld IL ?? the best hotel there, the Crowne Plaza went bankrupt about 5 years ago and it did a lot of State of Illinois business. MicroTel, Red Roof or HI Express would have been good enough for me.
My home town is 30 miles south of Spfld, IL. It is about 675 from Lawrenceville to Springfield and 12 hours each way. And this is in a passenger vehicle.....truck and trailer add another 2 hours each way, then there is loading time too. I would look into an IL carrier hauling it down to you.
Back in my dirt bike days I used to burn odds and ends of 2 stroke pre-mix in my El Camino. Great exhaust pipe aroma when I was running Blendzall. Smelled like a model airplane.
10 years ago there was a "bench guy" at B and B Hobby in Snellville that was pretty savvy with CBs, but he retired. They sold a bunch of CB radios too in addition to the usual hobby shop stuff.
