Looking to install lower gears for a 2016 ram 2500 4x4. Pros/Cons? Looking for a quality place to have it installed.
I'd like to go lower than the factory gear ratio. If i'm not mistaken. Not exactly sure what gear ratio I want but I want it lower than what it would have been factory...
I also read torque converter, driveshaft, u joints , shocks etc...
Oh not to mention I brought it in twice cause my memory seats didn't work. Then realizes afterwards the window locks didn't work either.
The Armada is so much roomier and nicer. Feels larger than my brothers Yukon xl minus the cargo area and much larger than my Yukon. After hearing the clunk and the service 4wd light I had enough.
What a headache and a waste . I didn't find out what it was yet. Had a click noise like from the rear suspension when I'd drive over a small bump then I started it one day and the service 4wd light came on but went off when I turned it off and on. I've had enough so I drove it to the Nissan...
It doesn't get worse at any time. Even when i shift to neutral it stays the same. I might bring it to a different dealer but wanted to see what I could find out. Just weird that it's not a steady vibration.
I'll mention all these suggestions. It's not awd and I keep it in 2wd.
Actually...
2016 Yukon 4x4 bought used. 38k
the vibration seems to vibrate up through the floor to the steering wheel then back again. Not a constant vibration but more like driving over rumble strips with a gap between it. Like vibrate vibrate vibrate stop vibrate vibrate vibrate stop and so on...
I agree, I know he only got it cause our brother in laws brother wasn't using it and just sold it cheap.
I'm actually gonna do a project car with my son once he gets a little older.
With all the new technology in cars it'll be hard to work on them yourself now. I like the the 335 and 435. They are strong and handle well. Gotta love the power of a turbo.
The battery was 200 too so an extra unexpected 300. This was my brothers son so if it was me I probably would have...
It's fixed!
My brother got it towed to a friend's body shop who had his bmw guy come and program the battery with a scanner. The new battery was a higher cc so it had to be programmed into the car. So freaking stupid if you ask me. 200 for the programming and 100 for towing.
Thanks...
Battery was completely dead. Didn't check the voltage but the lights came on. I have to bring my volt meter. Wouldn't start at all and no power to anything
Tried that. Plugged, unplugged, wiggled the it's and tried starting with it unplugged
Insert key then push button. Weird cause no dash...
My nephew's battery went dead so I helped him replace it. Won't start or even attempt to start. Only dash light that comes in is the steering wheel lock light. Searching online it seems the battery has to be registered to the car via bmw scan tool. Well the car is in the garage with the...
Looking for a reputable place to do stuff on my Ram. Preferably Southside but not a big deal. Any advice on equipment or parts to use appreciated too.
In order of what I want done.
1. Change the transmission shifts schedule. Superchips? Or similar. Upshifts too soon and would like it...
