They'll let you buy it back, but chances are if it really is repairable and a car that is in high demand now since used car prices are high, they already have a reclaiming company to fix it and resell it. The deal you could give them can't really contain what their reselling of the repaired...
speaking of revving the motor. I NEVER do that on providing a jump. I leave my car off and only provide the battery power. I'm not putting my running alternator in the mix of a potential mishap..... just sayin'
I tried using the cheaper cables for years. Then I finally wised up and got some that are 20 ft long, good flexible copper with a thick covering and clamps that are well insulated copper and fixed firmly to the cables. All this stays in my truck in its tote bag. They're long enough to go one...
Prices on Trucks are out of sight. Their insurance company will not pay to have it fixed. They will offer you 'their' market price for that used truck and then they'll have it fixed and resold for more money. They did that to me on my 2012 Ford Explorer - easily fixable. The resale value of...
I had this problem once on a Dodge 150 Pickup. It turned out to be a bad solid state pickup plate sensor in the distributor (sometimes it's called the coil sensor pickup plate). The only real way it was found was when it finally quit working altogether.
You'd be driving down the road at speed...
I didn't find that to be the case with any part of the replacements I did. Optics are much the same as RF and antenna reflectors and when placed at the right focal point along with LED bulb emission patterns it works. At least it did for me.
I got tired of replacing filament bulbs in my 2010 F-150 and got on Amazon and bought replacement LEDs for EVERY light on it. Headlamps, fog lights, side markers, turn signals, tail and brakes, backups, tag lights and the cab mounted stop and cargo bed lights and internal dome light...
Perhaps, this may be the reason you got injured in your crash? I'd much rather rise up in a crash (with seat belts on) than under another behemoth. My wife had a near head on collision in her little BMW Z3 convertible with a YUKON. That thing rode up over hers and demolished her Z3. It was a...
Ford isn't the first manufacturer to do this. I had a 1977 Chevy Nova that had the same thing, same problem. I call them veneer nuts. Made to look expensive but just have a cheap veneer metal cover dome. Structurally difficult because a loose fit with the lug nut when you pull it off...
I think that IF I'd been drinking and was in a crash near my home that I'd much rather tell the police (and my insurance company) I was unfamiliar with a manual transmission than have to deal with a DUI, insurance refusal, legal penalties, etc.... you come off sounding like a puss (at 50 who...
IMO, he'd been under the influence, left the car to get home, chug a coupla beers to calm his nervesand THEN call the PoPo, and if they ask him if he'd been drinking then he had his story - after the crash...
There are some good videos on youtube on how to replace these blend door motors. The published method is to remove the dash but there are ways that it can be done (with a little effort and limber arms/hands) like through a removed glove box opening and pulling the front cover on the center...
