Had the same thing happen years ago. Turned key and BOOM!. Battery blew with enough force to bend the hood on my truck. No other damage though.
It was summer but not sure if the heat causes it or just coincidence.
All three can give problems but the Ford seems to be the most sorted at the moment, with Ram in a close second. Avoid the GMs.
That’s being said, the new gas engines are very capable. Unless you’re towing multiple times a week or 15k pounds or more regularly, I’d avoid diesels altogether.
No...
Meth injection isn’t worth the hassle in my opinion. Had it on a couple different vehicles and while it certainly works once it’s setup properly, I’d focus that money on just running better fuel, either E85 or race gas.
New diesels are more hassle than they are worth. My half ton Hemi (rated at 12k) tows well for me and the 7.3 Super Duty should be even better. I don’t think you’ll regret it and if by some chance you do, the $10k saved in your pocket should make you feel better.
Don’t own one personally but two buddies bought Hellcat Challengers on the same day: one auto, one manual. 8-speed auto is much quicker but the manual is obviously a blast and still quick. They’re both comfortable and relatively practical.
The guy with the auto car wishes he’d gotten a Charger...
Curious, I know I said I’d like a mild 88” motor. Obviously that’s a twin cam, but I’m just assuming the newest but still carbed engine would be easiest.
Would anyone prefer something else? Would an 82” Evo be better? Even an old Ironhead? Looking for the cheapest option really.
Only 31 so the back is okay for now!
I’m not wanting anything too exotic and have zero fabrication skills. I’m decent with a wrench though so I’m just looking into a rolling chassis and would love to put a mild 88” in it. Not crazy about the super wide tires, probably a 200mm at most. I’d keep...
Anyone here have one? Never ridden one myself but love the look of a hard tail bobber. Maybe even someone out there willing to let me sit/ride theirs around the block?
Try to find an axle guy at a dealership to do it under the table on the clock.
Word of advice: Go at least one step lower than you think you need. Don’t fear the gear.
Had a chance to ride a modded Outlander 800 a couple years ago. It was an absolute beast.
That being said, the owner said it had its share of issues. Lots of small quality issues (like the seat kept coming off when I was riding it over rough terrain: a stupid problem, but a problem) and couple...
Go Honda or Yamaha. With basic maintenance (which means hardly any), they’ll last decades.
The Yamaha Kodiak 700 is a killer deal. Priced roughly inline with other manufacturers 400-500cc class machines.
Technically, the cars you have listed are pony cars. Little different class.
Muscle car should be a hot version of a regular, intermediate size, two door saloon. Fairlanes, Chargers/Roadrunners, Chevelles, GTOs, etc.
I have to say it’s a tie. The GTO did it first and created the whole...
Good buddy has new gas Super Duty and loves it except for occasionally death wobble when hitting bridges or other large bumps. He’s working on finding an aftermarket solution now as the dealership hasn’t been helpful.
All brands make good trucks and bad trucks. Luck plays a role and...
