I think I read on here once that somebody used Baking Soda with a 1/2 lemon. He dipped the lemon in a dish with the Baking Soda and polished it out. If I remember right it worked pretty good from the pics he posted.
My 2000 7.3 sat since Covid, and it ran, until it didn't. The Injector Control Module fried after filling with water due to the place that Ford mounted, and the stupid plug that rots out allowing it to fill. That led to a bunch of injector codes for the harnesses that in Ford's wisdom...
Toyota has their own scan software and you cat buy it from them. This is the software you can buy for as little as 2 days. You’d still need a connector to plug into the vehicle.

The tool that I posted up earlier is $100, with a free general scan in it's memory like other scan tools have. You can get and use vehicle specific programs with it like I did. For my Ford I used Forscan, and there is a free version of it, but I chose to pay the $6 per year for the better...
I have an OBD Link MX+ that I use with my iPhone. It's bluetooth and is about $100. I just used a Forscan Program with it to repair my 7.3 Diesel Excursion. I'm sure there are other programs for different vehicles on the net.
