Raniers website recommends using the Lee factory crimp die with only a "slight" crimp and say their bullets are "soft" and thus do not need the cannelure. Just FYI --

I am new to pistol reloading, so is it recommended to crimp lead bullets?? I just bought the Lee carbide 4pc sets and am still debating over projectile selection too. I have read good things about Missouri bullets.

The ranier bullets I have seen are plated rather than jacketed. Ranier does not list load data but the info I have seen says to load this like lead bullets as the plating is rather thin. I have been debating buying plated bullets rather than lead.
