Also, look into getti g a good aftermarket barrel. I run Lone Wolfs in all my 10’s and have had zero issues. They help “preserve” the brass for reloading. Better case support, especially if you are loading on the Upper end.
Go ahead and start off with the Lee Classic Turret press. Put it in single stage mode for your first few months till you get the hang/feel of each stage. ONCE you are comfortable with each stage put the indexing rod in and SLOWLY start producing one round with four pulls of the handle. I started...
great advice! But im guilty of drinking a beer when im on the press. I will only have one though. I have been loading a VERY long time though and I can “feel” something when its “off” in the handle. Limit distractions and get your muscle memory down. ALWAYS look at powder charge that was dropped...
I like power pistol for 9mm, and 10mm and I think I even used it for some .380 loads. I dont load .40 but im sure it will work for it as well. Be forewarned though. Power Pistol is LOUD and gives a pretty big muzzle flash. I believe Alliant came out with a new powder that is pretty much same as...
Check out improved roller handle from Inline Fabrication. A must have IMO for the Lee Turret press. Really takes alot of strain off the shoulder compared to the factory handle. I have all the inline fab products for my press and they turned it into a MUCH better press IMO
Welcome to the addiction!! Im not gonna lie, when I shot my first two rounds of 10mm I loaded I stood behind a tree and hung my pistol off to the side and around to the front of the tree. Hahaha!!! But now, 10 years later and thousands of rounds later I trust my ammo more than I do the big mfr's...
Thats a nice one but you may want to look at the Lee Classic Turrett press. You can run it as a single stage till you get the hang of things then once you afe comfortable you can turn on the rotation feature and have a semi-progressive press. Cause trust me, you are gonna step up from a single...
I would use the KKM Barrel if you plan on reloading the brass. The OEM Barrel offers decent support to be safe but younwill still get more bulge at base of brass than you would with that KKM.
A little lighter bullet than your asking about but HANDS DOWN my favorite load for 10mm is a 135gr HP Nosler over 11.7 grains of Blue Dot. I have been loading 10mm forma long time and other than hunting loads this is the one I mainly load up. I feel it is a GREAT HD load and is DEADLY accurate...
