Yes! When I get time, I plan on taking the firing pin and ejector out of my bolt to see which sized cases have little to no resistance - ideally the bolt will close on the case om its own. That seems like the only way to know 100%. From there I'll use my headspace gauge to get the measurement...
Yeah, I agree the Sinclair is nice but, I decided to stick with the Hornady because I'm not interested in measuring off of the intersection of the shoulder and the body, while that may be useful for prolonging the life of your brass, I'm more interested in measuring the part of the shoulder that...
So, I've been measuring shoulder bump on my .308 brass using a Hornady headspace comparator and, based on those measurements I thought that I had finally got my full-length sizing die set correctly for a .001" shoulder bump... BUT, I pulled out a Sinclair bump gauge and got a completely...
Yeah, it sucks but, I have successfully started. I have everything I need to load a couple hundred rounds, I just need to build my bench. I wish I started at least buying components in 2016 but, it still beats buying 308!
Yeah, same. This is the cheapest I've been able to find LRPs - https://globalordnance.com/unis-ginex-primer-5-5-3-n-for-large-rifle-brass-cup-100-per-box/?afmc=53&sku=810091154137
I don't know that brand though
I'll be reloading for 308 and 10mm primarily. I still see some savings with those calibers.
Federal GM Match is a 1.75 a round, and I can reload a cartridge with mostly the same components for less than a dollar for example.

Yeah, I'm gonna check them out this weekend. I haven't been in a while. Last time I was there I wasn't planning on reloading so, I didn't pay attention to pricing their reloading stuff at all.
That sounds about right. From what I can see everywhere I've looked online primers are around $80 per thousand but, then shipping/fees are around $30 so, it's not really worth it unless you're buying a lot at once.
I just started reloading and, I'd like to find somewhere locally that sells reloading components for a decent price. I'm mainly looking for primers and powder locally so I can sample a few here and there and, find out what I like without having to pay shipping and hazmat fees for such a small...
