I loaded up some recently but seems I was using Red Dot. I have a set of .32 ACP dies and was mainly playing around to see how well it would function loading 32 SW Long.
I traded some 28 Ga shotgun wads that I've been tripping over for two years for a box of Hornady .44 200 XTPs. So I loaded up some .44 mag to try out a NEF Handi Rifle I recently picked up from one of our members. That's what I loaded today.
Try Moss Pawn. If you talk nicely to them, they sometimes can find a box. about 10 minutes south of the airport on hwy 19/3.
Tell them Gordon sent you. It will either get you kicked out or maybe score you some primers. lol
Found a bag of old Remington 240 Gr 44 projectiles, the old escalloped looking hp. So I cleaned some brass and loaded some up with 24.0 of 296. Might give them a try out of the old Ruger 44 carbine this week.
I've got some BLc (1) which is from WWII that is still good. If it smells ok, looks ok I would try it. may not load it for self defense loads or dangerous game loads but for plinking. sure
Pretty accurate so far. I was looking for something to waste like 5 pounds of this stuff on. I don’t load shotgun shells and didn’t want to use it to fertilize the flowers. At 3 grains a bullet I have a long way to go.
I figured with nothing better to do. I picked up several pounds of Red Dot powder awhile back at an estate sale. I found a load for .38 Special. Load a few today and gave my new to me Redhawk 357 a try. Figured I would sort cases and deprime tomorrow. Anyone else self quarantining do any...
I probably have an extra zinc arm for your Lee if you ever want to go back it. I think I have 6-7 of them. Early round tops and newer square trays. I think the atm is the same.
Initially I had not ran the sizing die down far enough. This why I removed the decapping portion. I thought I had fixed the problem. I'm going to recheck my seating die. I'm thinking that the seat is too far down and not letting the die fully crimp the neck. The bullet is seating to the...
I got my oal by using a factory load. Now I’m thinking that I may have ran the bullet seater down to far before the case was fully seated in to the die. I’ll have to rethink it tomorrow. Back to the drawing board. Factory loaded ammo for this beast will break the bank.
I've been reloading for years but I am not an expert. I've always loaded revolver rounds and some rifle. I have never loaded for a semi-auto pistol. Just found factory loads were inexpensive enough to justify reloading things like 9mm and 45. I'm attempting to load for a 45 Win Mag. my...
I picked up a box full of the old round units last year at an estate sale. I've used one for years and misplaced my small primer arm rod so I bought a newer square one a few years back. I hate that POS. the round ones have never given me a minutes problem. I have issues with the square model...
I'm not wanting to invest in another set of dies, especially a super expensive set of wild cat dies. Is there a way of loading 219 Zipper without a complete set of dies? same for the 30-338Win mag. I have plenty of formed brass for the 30-338 and a fair amount of 219 Zipper brass that I want...
