I’ve done the mineral spirits thing and it gave my brass a slight “grey wash” -
Anybody use dry additives to their vibratory tumblers' corn cob media?
I use mainly corn cob with a little Lyman TuffNut walnut shells with NuFinish. Makes my brass nice and shiny. -
Powder identification
It is flattened ball powder. Most likely canister bulk powder that you can't buy. The off the shelf powders will be different. -
What have you reloaded today?
I have some 220gr Lapua Scenars I wanna try in .308. Data shows it should work. I loaded up a dummy to fit the PSS and it does fit. Powder may be crowded a bit....:rolleyes: -

Help identifying powder
At least you know it’s not Green Dot, Red Dot, Blue Dot or Bullseye. That leaves Herco and Unique. It may be Unique as well. They look similar. In this day and age, I’d be reluctant (I’m cheap) to turn 8lbs of any powder, let alone Hercules into “fertilizer”. My approach would be to load some... -

Bullseye has a smaller lighter grey flake and the flakes aren't "dished" or "cupped' like that. -

Yes I do. I cast for everything I shoot, to include 1oz slugs and 00 Buck. -

I shoot Speer .311 Hot Cor 150gr out of my Enfield and Mosins. Killed 2 deer with M91 with them. When I shoot cast I use bullets sized to .314. -

A question for you veteran Reloaders
With Imperial I just wipe a little on the cases and every 5th case or so I Q-Tip the inside case neck to lighten the load for the expander ball. -

I use Imperial. My can is ollllldd and it has a slight dent in the wax, and I've used it a bunch. It lasts forever and is the best imho.
