I'm pretty sure Garland Mountain just dumps all of there hulls. The bins fill up fast, but I don't know if there's a way to tell if they've been fired more than once.
How strong is 3D printed stuff? Seems like a lot of side pressure for strings of plastic melted together. I've never really held anything made by a 3D printer so I have no idea what it's capable of.
I'm not into reloading so take everything I say with a grain of salt.
I wouldn't coat the inside with anything. The brass will probably knock bits and pieces off of it that would get mixed in. Would probably start to peel off in time as well, creating a bigger mess.
I am jealous of you guys...
As old as it is it wouldn't hurt to get a new extractor. They don't have to look very worn to not grab them right. Also light loads a notorious for not cycling well
The shotgun could be the ejector. Might want to try different shells as well. I have 5 shotguns and they all have one ammo they don't like.
Good luck with your new endeavor. I'm hoping to give it a whirl before to long
There's a guy that lives off of sandy plains that I have dealt with on here before. I haven't seen him around in a while though. I'll reach out to him and let him know you're looking.
I would try the first oal load again for kicks and giggles. Doubtful but do you think it could of been you trying to learn the new gun and overthinking the next shot? I've done that a lot before. Then get frustrated and start shooting even worse
