Ill be doing good to get out once maybe twice before season closes and itll be my first times ever turkey hunting. Ill pass on the challenge but look forward to the hunt.
Could be some Coydog mix. I know some lines of pitbulls have stripes. My neighbor growing up had a reddish brown pit that had black stripes over its whole body. He was obviously called Tiger.
Heres a google striped coyote image.
Reminds me of all the turkey hunting stories of folks calling and waiting on a gobbler that "just wouldnt move" only to find that it was the neighbors pet in a pen.

This will be my first one but I understand it to be a wild game meal with entertainment and raffles. I got an email this morning saying they will have a Bluegrass Gospel band playing and raffling off some pretty nice rifles and other goods.
Anyone going to the Wild Game night Saturday 3/2 at Lighthouse Baptist in Jackson? Ill be there with some family and friends. Info below for anyone that may be interested.

DId you do wildlife or forestry mgmt in college or did you take some public classes? Id be interested in knowing what public classes are out there to take. Id like to get more knowledge on the subjects. I know the Griffin UGA campus hosts a class once a year in december for a prescribed fire...
What turkey vest is everyone running? Im looking at some of the smaller/ minimalist vests that wont end up being 50# cause i have to many pockets to put crap.
Couple on the list so far are:
Alps impact pro
Ol tom gunslinger
Tethrd M2
Anyone have experience with any of these?
Ill be getting into the market for a turkey gun. Ive seen where a lot of folks are going back to 20 and even 410's using the TSS loads. Any suggestions welcome. Im looking at the Stevens 301 series but havent decided on 20 or 410.
Usually start dropping Mid - Late Feb through April. Check trails between bedding and feeding areas. if youre scouting for turkeys or next season hunting locations you'll probably stumble across some.
A couple of my buddies have recently gotten into duck hunting and they just about quit deer hunting now. Theyre doing all night drives to Arkansas on a thursday night hunting Friday and Saturday then driving back sunday. I told them they can have it lol.
It does look like a lot of fun though.
