Almost three months for the ATF to get the stamp papers to the FFL from the date they said it was approved. The delay was not with the postal service or the FFL.
I "purchased" two suppressors back in June 2016 and the ATF was quick to cash my check for the stamps. It took over a year to process the paperwork and send the approval back to the FFL. Funny thing was when I called the ATF to check the status I was told they had been approved in April, but...
In my case with the Ruger 10/22 Takedown it was cheaper to have my factory barrel threaded. Yes, you would have to buy the thread protector, but you can get one cheap on eBay.
Good feedback guys. Looks like Dobbs is a clear choice. I have used the folks at Fort Daniel in the past on a minor job. Until now I have not had a need to have a barrel threaded and wanted to check with the ODT on a good guy.
While I am waiting on the paperwork to be approved for the purchase of my suppressor, I need to have the barrel on a Ruger 10-22 Takedown threaded. Can anyone recommend a good gunsmith in the Atlanta area that is experienced and can thread a rifle barrel? The front sight will need to be moved...
Yes, I am looking to pick up one of the Ruger 22/45 Lite pistols in red or the special NRA version. I have a Ruger 10-22 Takedown rifle that is new in the box. But since it is not threaded, it looks like I need to also look at getting another takedown that comes with the barrel already threaded...
It may be cheaper in the long run to just buy another .22 that already comes with a threaded barrel. I am not sure I want to cut down the bull barrel and move the front sight of my current pistol. Do they make a .22 suppressor that would work for both a .22 rifle and pistol?
Based upon the video, it looks like the barrel would have to be threaded on the outside which would be a problem with my Ruger Mark II or any bull barrel .22 pistol.
I am think of taking the plunge and setting up a trust to buy a suppressor before the 41P changes go into effect. Doing the trust through Dean Phillips seem like the way to go for an attorney prepared trust document. His website is fairly user friendly and the order form is straightforward. I do...
