Actually, you can't shoot quite as fast so you're much more accurate with a semi-auto.
I'd go with the old M-60. Plenty of firepower, best when two man crew-served, but does well with just the gunner and, if you really need to, you can pick it up and keep shooting. (Rambo!)
It's also what I know.
Since you are the only person I know that has completed the process, a couple of questions.
Did you do this all on line?
If so, how did you get the pic and finger print requirements done.
Found out that I have a client that is an ATF Special Agent on the enforcement side. I asked him a few questions this evening.
1. The time frame is not to approval. It's to submitting the form, so not an issue.
2. He said it was perfectly okay to go ahead and put a normal stock on it before...
If they approved it and then changed it, agreed. More realistically, the company should demand more time to address the change, so they have time to sue the ATF. That way they won't be out of pocket.
If the company was selling it before actual approval by ATF, it's all on the company.
Possibly. Need more info about this to determine fault. Unless there was a clearn notification to the end users that this design might not be approved before they bought it, they should not have to pay a dime.
Was it approved? Understand, I don't think there should be any restriction, but if you're trying to play by the existing rules then play by them. Don't be shocked if you gamble on approval, start selling before you get it and then get burned because you didn't get it.
If that's what happened...
