A "public stash" is never good. Sounds like a good idea but this world is ugly. The people nowadays are more zombie like than ever before. No not the undead craving brains. But when it comes time, and mass hunger is abroad, these people be willing to kill anyone for a morning...
I hate amazon aswell. I purchased 100 1 gal bags and 100 oxygen packets for right about $50 on ebay. I use a flat iron and 4"x1/2" board to iron a nice 1/2" crease on the end. I think it'll hold up great.
Yup, my aunt had a large shed full of rabbits for this very sane reason...rabbit is quite good, if I had a choice for taste though, I'd take squirrel...even though rabbit yields more lol
So, I started my long term storage a month or so ago...came across some ideas. There's no "perfect" strategy, just what works for the individual and family.
Everything seems to have a weakness when it comes to storage, very bothersome. Buckets can crack, cand can rust, glass (gee)...and vacuum...
So, being into self sufficiency for a while, growing up on both farm and in city, I feel like I have a pretty good knowledge of "doomsday" scenarios.
