    How accurate are burn rate charts? Many show different data. Is one better than another? Im still fairly new to reloading and see a good variety of powders to choose from. Lil gun, h110, 296 all about the same thing? Should i use faster powders for shorter barrels?

    reloading 300blk. factory loads from 150-220gr are all close to the 2.260" max. why do my manuals have a 110gr c.o.l. listed as 2.050? seems like a significant difference. isnt the goal to get the bullet closer to the barrel?

    Stumped

    This is a rifle my grandfather made a lamp out of. I havent taken it out of the stock but i cant find an identifying mark on it. anyone have an idea what it is? A .45 slides in the barrel no problem but .50 is super tight. barrel length 34" oal 51"

    help on replacing wood

    found a couple of rifles in good shape, matching #s, barrels look good but have been a little sporterized. I was hoping to replace the wood with correct era stock but other than e bay cant seem to find a source. Anyone have any suggestions?

  19. Tung vs Linseed oil

    Gotta couple of old mil surplus stocks to clean up and wanna give them a little more shine. Was gonna clean them with mineral spirits or lacquer thinner and finish with tung oil or linseed. as far as i read tung oil is better moisture protection are there any advantages to linseed?
