  1. RIP Rebel Rouser a.ka. Duane Eddy

I hate how "The Oldies" stations that used to play hits from the 50s and 60s or even soft Pop music from the 70s have discarded all that great music and dedicated themselves to playing acid rock from the 1970s --what I call "screech & scream noise."
  2. Metro Atlanta FT Raven MP-25 Beautiful condition! With Magazine!

I knew a millionaire lady business owner that carried a Raven 25 caliber for protection. I told her that I know something about firearms and I could help her select something more reliable and more powerful. She replied "This one is reliable, and I shoot it well. I'm keeping it!"
  3. Anyone on here ever worked armed security at a Nuke plant?

I hope they have multiple 50s on elevated positions to disable a car or truck that may try to ram the gate and then plow right into a reactor building or cooling tower.
  4. How old were you when you first fired a gun?

BB gun at 6. .22 rifles under dad's close supervision at a family friend's farm at maybe age 10. From age 7-9 my dad would occasionally let me fire a few shots of a 22 rifle or .22 pistol when he was shooting at the range and I was tagging along, but I did not get any real serious instruction...
  5. The Marietta meat and greet.

    This thread is gayer than:
  6. Want to Buy Home Defense Shotgun

I like mine. It wears an 18.5" smoothbore slug barrel w/rifle sights when in the defensive role. I put the 22" vent ribbed barrel (threaded for choke tubes) for hunting or busting clays.
  7. Want to Buy Home Defense Shotgun

Just FYI, I don't think you can get big buckshot loads in 20 gauge. Number 3 buckshot is the largest I can find these days. (20 years ago you used to be able to find #2 buck.) My home defense shotgun is the 20 gauge Mossy 500 Bantam, by the way.
  8. I fixed that problem.

I thought duct tape was the way to keep a circuit breaker from tripping. (And for doing a safety lock-out on equipment you're about to work on while still plugged-in.) What happened in this pic-- did these hillbillies run out of duct tape reupholstering the seats of the pickup, and have to rig...
  9. Help needed

I'd like to go back to the body weight and pants size I was back in 2015 when this boat sale thread was first started. Can I take a trip in that time machine y'all are using?
  10. Florida couple crudely tape together 2 lottery tickets and tried to claim 1M prize. What could go wrong?

More dummer criminals: Like the convenience store robber who held-up the 7/11 and demanded all the cash from the drawer AND THE CHECKS (back in the old days, they'd take personal checks. This was in the days before everybody used plastic cards.) The clerk asked him why the checks-- they...
  11. Florida couple crudely tape together 2 lottery tickets and tried to claim 1M prize. What could go wrong?

Dump criminals: Like the couple who made some fake ID's. They used a picture of both of them hugging, at a bar or nightclub, the bar and rows and rows of liquor bottles in the background, as the official DMV photo on their new fake drivers' licenses.
  12. Florida couple crudely tape together 2 lottery tickets and tried to claim 1M prize. What could go wrong?

Stupid criminals. Reminds me of the bank robber who slipped the teller a note saying "I have a gun. Give me all the money." The note was on the blank back side of a small bit of paper that had computer printing on the other side. Cops read the other side: "REMINDER: Mr. Jerome Jaquavious...
  13. Traffic Control ODTer, Please Make up Ya Mind, Sir!!

What's making that yellow vest hover in the air a few feet above the parking lot?
  14. What and how do you carry while you run?

I used to do a nylon fanny pack with a Kel-Tec P32 (these days it would be the .380 version) in the big main compartment, and my phone, my D/L and credit cards and GWL, and my car key, in the smaller compartment. (I'd leave the rest of my fat, bulky wallet locked in my car). Everything in that...
  15. Yea, so this happened

    Another reason to hate kudzu....
  16. He must have been in a hurry….

He's gotta be in a hurry to visit the ATM because those beers don't buy themselves!
  17. S&w revolver gunsmith near Atlanta side?

Glad I got that done before Arrowhead Pawn closed for business permanently. Does anybody know where the gunsmith Shannon Jennings has gone to, or will be working next?
  18. Good pawn shops or gun stores in Atlanta area

Arrowhead Pawn is now out of business. That's strange because it was packed wall-to-wall with customers the last time I visited there in the summer of 2023, and the customers were buying guns and jewelry.
  19. Motherfu***r, just had my first negligent discharge in my office of all places....

6-- Repeatedly unloading a guns chamber and then later re-chambering that same round can cause a condition known as "bullet setback" where the bullet gets pushed back further into the case than it should go. This can cause feeding problems and reliability issues because of the bullet profile...
