  1. Blurry pics - Tactacam Reveal X 2.0

That is significantly clearer than any of mine. I have mine set on 8mp as well, since first few pics on 16mp didn't look any different to me.
  2. Blurry pics - Tactacam Reveal X 2.0

I get that it doesn't send HD to phone, but my brother-in-law has first gen Reveal and the pics his send to his phone are a lot crisper. That buck in the first 2 pics I posted, if you zoom in it gets worse, can't tell anything about his rack other than general height and width. Night pics are a...
  3. Blurry pics - Tactacam Reveal X 2.0

Top 3 are Tactacam, bottom one is from my phone from a little over 40 yards with digital zoom.
  4. Blurry pics - Tactacam Reveal X 2.0

I bought this camera a few months ago and just got around to getting it put out. This is my first cellular cam. Is it normal for pics it sends to be kinda blurry or fuzzy? Is there anything I can do to make them crisper? Will the pics on the card be better than what it's sending me? I tried...
  5. Tactacam Reveal X or Reveal SK?

I've come to the conclusion that I really need to start using trail cams again and have heard nothing but glowingly positive reviews on the Tactacam Reveal cameras. My property is 165 miles from my house so a cellular cam is a necessity. My only concern is battery life. The SK model is...
  6. 2015 pics

The last couple of years I saw deer almost every time I went from beginning of bow season until late November. This year has been drastically different so far. I guess we are lucky not to have hogs on our property yet. I'd like to kill a hog, but it's not worth the damage they do to wish we had...
  7. 2015 pics

Sounds like you've had the same kind of luck I've had this season. Hope you have better luck tomorrow.
  8. 2015 pics

I'm still trying to one up the one in my avatar from 20 years ago. The big brow tine buck in the first set of pics is on the hit list, but the little odd 9 point in the second set of pics is not at the moment.
  9. 2015 pics

This season keeps going the way it has so far and he may end up on the hit list. I ain't even seen a doe big enough to shoot yet.
  10. 2015 pics

  11. 2015 pics

A few pics since beginning of bow season. Can't seem to catch any mature deer on camera, but several promising young bucks keep showing up. Got a lot of pics of one particular, odd 9 point.
  12. Trail cams that send pix to phone/email

The flash at night is infra-red. On most standard trail camera's the night flash is somewhat noticeable because the LED's will flash red for a second, but if you aren't looking at the camera you wouldn't notice. Most camera manufacturers now offer "black-out" models that are supposed to make the...
  13. before you buy a cam

Thanks for the info. I knew about trailcampro, but hadn't heard of the others.

  15. Moultrie 555i (help)

I have the exact opposite problem with my 990i. My daytime pics are fine, but my nighttime pics are usually kinda blurry.
  16. Internet accessible Trail Cameras

I don't know if it is better or not, but I think the Spypoint is a new model.
  17. WiFi in your trail camera

Spypoint™ Live Cellular 5MP Camera. $399 at Cabela's. Allows you to check camera from anywhere on pc or smartphone.
  18. Internet accessible Trail Cameras

Just get one of these. "Spypoint™ Live Cellular 5MP Camera." $399 at Cabela's. Impressive video on Cabela's website explaining how it works. Looks bad ass. I have a camera that you can buy a wireless module for, but you have to be within 300 feet of the camera to use it.
  19. New pics, south Ga.

PB works very well. They lick it. Take lid off and attach to tree with screw, cut off bottom of jar, screw jar back into lid. Eventually ants will find it and the deer will ose interest once the ants find it. If that happens, remove jar and replace with new one, preferably on a different tree.
