Need gunsmith-Model 69 Cylinder sticking

Any burs on the ejector rod? Is it smooth? Any build up inside the frame, try removing the side plate an checking for any debris? If shooting lead bullets you can get a build up in the forcing cone that would cause it to stick

I had one do that once. It was the ejector rod. I just had to screw it in and tighten it up. Use some blue Loctite so it doesn't work it's way back out.
I had another revolver do that due to shooting hot loads in it. That was a Dan Wesson

You are right. That gun should never have left the factory. If even I can figure it ou their QC definitely should have caught it.

Agreed, quality control is the pits for everything anymore

Decided to send it back. The squared off center pin has gouged the backing plate and I want that fixed as well. 6-8 weeks

Stuff like this is one of the main reasons that I won't own a Smith & Wesson revolver made after the 90's.
