Picture of Grace at the Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta. Was chilling and listening to a Bavarian band while the wife shopped.
Why no petting?
She’s my service animal. It keeps the masses away. Some people have no sense of boundaries. I prefer people to ask. There are times I’m not overly sociable. Right after I took this picture a mother asked if her daughter could take a picture with Grace. No problem. I just have to introduce the child as a “friend”.
While Grace is socialized and task trained, direct interaction with other people is situation and environment dependent. Primarily for my benefit, not hers.
Forgot to mention, the other side of her vest says "Service Dog". She generally stays on my left. I've found the "Do Not Pet" to be a better deterrent.
