I got the same engine, with same problem...I'm about to make it a 10 cylinder with some armor piercing ammo. $&@* that POS motor!
i see where grandpops was going here with that statement. strangely enough, he is right.

I won't go if it's windy as that makes it much more difficult. Wind blows the line back to shore and makes casting harder.
surf fishing is my fav form of fishing. avoiding the wind is like trying to avoid the sand so ya get use to it or plan
strategies to fight it. as an example, use a smaller profile bait if not top water fishing.

hell fish on the other side of the lake so the wind will carry your offerings ever farther than you can cast. lol
Pet peeve...50 miles off shore, hook up and 15 minutes later there are a dozen boats surrounding you.

you would think that somewhere within that 50 miles there would be another fish or 12 needing to be caught huh
The one thing that really irks me is people fishing too close to me. I hate being crowded by other people. If I'm trout fishing and someone gets within 20-30 yards of me, I'll either say something not very nice or pick up and move to a different spot. Usually I just move.
