Your favorite butt rub?

For brisket:

2 T chili powder
2 T salt
1 T garlic powder
1 T onion powder
1 T ground black pepper
1 T sugar
2 t dry mustard
1 bay leaf crushed
---------------------------------

For steak and Boston Butt:

1 t coriander, ground
1 t dried oregano
1 t chili powder
1 t onion powder
1 t salt
1 t pepper
3/4 t garlic powder
1/2 t paprika
1/4 t cumin

Just smoked a butt yesterday, and used my usual. Start off with plain cayenne pepper patted in by hand, and then overlay it with a light dusting of Emeril's rib rub (available at grocery stores everywhere). It came out fantastic, as usual.
 
Butts..rib's....brisket?....it don't matter, long as it used to squeal and waller! Smear on some peanut oil, severely coat w/coarse cracked black pepper, enter into shallow pan, tightly cover w/foil, off direct heat,
225 / 2+ hrs to 165 ditigal internal. Finally turn for 20 min over direct heat for good bark, mop w/favorite sludge, and enjoy! this will work on coon, rabbit, deer, even various cow parts.
 
Fox brothers rub is awesome on everything I have tried it on. From ribs, butts, chicken wings, salmon. It's like Frank's I put that s#!+ on everything.
