YOUR AR15 PREFFERED PARTS AND WHY

I'm not really one for "budget builds" my bottom line on parts are Aero Precision / Tool Craft etc...
My go to recent builds are:
1. BCM upper 11.5/ MCMR
Aero Pre. BCG
Aero Pre. Lower /with Aero LPK
Aero Pre. Receiver ext /Buffer and recoil assembly
BCM Charging handle
BCM Grip (I love the texture and the angle)
BCM Trigger Guard
BCM Kag
Aero Standard MilSpec FCG/Polished/ JP Enterprises (Red hammer spring)
Eotech EXPS-2-0

2. BCM upper 11.5/ MCMR Mk2
Aero Pre. BCG
Aero Pre. M4E1 Lower /with Aero LPK
Aero Pre. Receiver ext /Buffer and recoil assembly
Radian Raptor-SD Charging handle
BCM Grip
BCM Kag
Aero Standard MilSpec FCG
Scalarworks 1.57 Mount / Holosun HS403R

Accessories I use:
Mounts: Scalarworks, ADM
Im a red dot/reflex guy: Eotech, Aimpoint, Holosun, Primary arms
CH:Radian, BCM
Rails: BCM MCMR, MI, Geissele
BCG: Toolcraft, Aero, BCM
Lights: SF, Modlite, Streamlight, AD
Triggers: Milspec trigger(JP Springs), but you cant miss with geissele
Slings: Vickers, or Magpul ( I run a BCM QD endplate on all my ARs because when I stock over shoulder around cover my sling still sits on my shoulder and I dont get tangled up in my kit)

I dont understand the whole Budget/Truck gun AR logic or the Just as good logic. I run my guns hard and I shoot a lot in dusty fine red clay environments. I dont clean my ARs often they may go a couple thousand rounds until I feel like im bored on a rainy afternoon and clean them. My experience if some of the "cheaper" options and I'll call it out by name Palmetto State Ive had 1 out of 5 that wasn't over gassed. Ive blown gas rings on their BCGs after a couple hundred rounds (including premium line). Out of spec 1913 rails, out of spec receiver pin holes, out of spec magwells, Enlarged pin holes on lowers. Id take an $280 Aero upper over any Premium PSA CHF upper. This is just my opinion I know people swear by those parts and thats fine, but in a free market if I don't like it I wont buy it. These are the components I prefer.

My preferred parts are not only effective but also convey a message.....

Waiting on parts for one as we speak. List goes:

BCM MK2 upper w/ 16” SS410 barrel
BCM MCMR 13” handguard
Toolcraft NB BCG
Magpul Pro BUIS
Radian Raptor CH
Integrity Arms lower
VLTOR A5 buffer kit
Larue MBT-2S
B5 furniture

Gotta decide on an optic.

I see guys running a vltor a5 buffer kit paired bcm builds. Can you school me? Is it for recoil management, felt recoil, or length of pull? I've never used one so I'm just curious. :)

The A5 kits are simply a buffer system that’s tailored to the midlength gas system popular on today’s 16” rifles. Slots in between the carbine and rifle buffer systems, when used on a 14.5-16” gun, it will shoot softer and be easier on parts than a carbine buffer setup (which is best on <14.5” guns) while still providing a collapsible stock that a rifle setup (>18” guns) wouldn’t.

It’s definitely not mandatory but if you’re starting from scratch anyway, might as well use it.

ahhh I gotcha. I guess I should have said I see guys run it on 10.3s and 11.5s which I'm guessing it would help with over gassed systems, but I see the application youre using it for. I never ran a midlength so it never came to mind. Thanks for the info!
