It was, I almost never got it off the hook. It got me pretty good too lol

I saw one where I caught that one that was probably a good 2 feet or so and I couldn’t ever get it to bite. They’re funky fish for sure. They remind me of a chain pickerel kind of. I caught some of those out of lake Hartwell bass fishing a few years ago

I may not understand surf fishing,but the guy casting out while I had the fish own would has gotten a extreme cussing out.

Biggest speckled trout I’ve ever seen in person was caught by my boy when he was 8 surf fishing. I have the pic somewhere
