Yea, that wouldn't work out LOL . Looks like it could be in the lower part of a split level in the pic.

The raised part under the stove is probably concrete, getting that out is going to be the hard part.
Is the floor on joists or are you on a slab?

Looks like composite board, if its vinyl...thats tougher to patch.
The floor is joists on top a crawl space.
I'm pretty sure that square raised portion is just a wooden frame with tile over it.
Again though. I can fix the interior later. I'm more just concerned with properly closing off the outside. Hardy board with something else behind it-- MDF, insulation, etc? Has to be more than just throwing up a piece of siding over the hole.
Really surprised the power company allowed their line behind that pipe.

They probably didnt. I bought this place from a guy who did a bunch of generic upgrades to sell it. Now I'm fixing all of them.
Sounds easy enough. But I'd still rather have someone do it who does this type of work. I dont water getting into my walls.
