Just put this on today. For my spicy jerky version I generally marinate my jerky for a week in the following. Also sprinkle more red/black pepper on the meat once it is on the tray just to make sure all pieces have some spice!

Black Pepper
Garlic Powder
Dry Siracha
Red Pepper Flake
Onion Powder
Curing Salt
Soy Sauce
Worcheshire
Brown Sugar

Anybody do anything majorly different?

If you like jerky it will be best $50-60 you ever spent.
Amazon had a couple of different ones on sale this year but I couldn't decide between the round style or the front-loading tray style.
I'd probably dry more fruits and vegetables than make jerky, not sure if that would or should influence my choice of appliances.
