I'm wondering how it would be with grilled onions instead of kraut. I gave my brother half the leftovers...maybe I should have kept them all! Lol
Grilled onions and peppers, steamed pastrami, Swiss on a hoagie toasted in the toaster oven. Done it several times. Course I’ve never had home made pastrami. It’s a great twist on the traditional Philly Cheese. I didn’t come up with it, someone in my family when I was a kid made them. Just can’t remember who. Uncle, Aunt, or Grand parents on my mom’s side from what I remember. It’s damn good.
My current situation lol: I'm out of Thousand Island...so sautéed onions it is. I'm thinking a fried egg wouldn't hurt. Bacon too if it wasn't frozen and I wasn't being lazy...

I need more cheap briskets!!! The spicy mustard is a bit much for breakfast...might should have left that off...bacon would have been a nice smoky addition!

The spicy mustard is a bit much for breakfast...might should have left that off...bacon would have been a nice smoky addition!

Mighty Fine Sammie! Kroger has starting tomorrow the 9th, Boston Butts for .99/lb and Whole Brisket for 2.99/lb not great, but not bad..
