Whole Beef Brisket on sale

Mighty Fine Sammie! Kroger has starting tomorrow the 9th, Boston Butts for .99/lb and Whole Brisket for 2.99/lb not great, but not bad..

Boston Butts are so tempting bc of the price, but I've never had one I liked and I've never been able to make a good one either. Got a good recipe?

Nothing earth shattering just a basic injection and dry rub outside. I do add brown sugar when 3/4 done before the wrap..I also sprits with apple juice every hr..

That was one of the ones I tried and didn't like. I guess Boston Butt is something I just don't like, but that seems kind of odd. I mean, I'm pretty carnivorous lol!
I'm trying to think of a way it was prepared I did NOT like it.

inject meat with peach, pineapple, or apple juice.
Rub entire service with any yellow mustard.
The mustard is just a vinegar based binder for dry rub
Cover meat with favorite dry rub
I prefer a sugar based rub I make myself
Brown sugar, white sugar, cayenne, black pepper, salt, cumin, paprika
To me, pork does better with a sweet rub
Let stand in fridge overnight
Fire up smoker and maintain a temp of 225-240 degrees
Smoke Boston butt to an internal temp of 185-190 degrees.
Pull and enjoy
To me, sauce is a personal preference. Make it available for those who prefer it.
