We will be starting our ‘boot camps’ for brand new technicians towards the end of the year in Austell / Moreland Ave, Macon/McDonough and Gwinnett.

Our Boot Camps are for people who want to join the industry but do not have experience in the heavy equipment industry or may have just graduated from High School or a Technical College. We train and build, while you start to earn.

This unique program pairs five people with one instructor for 16 weeks of high intensity training. Following the four months of training, are two months of mentored on the job training. The instructor also acts as their lead technician. We have found this to be a great way to grow our own technicians and the participants have found it to be a great way to enter the industry.

This program starts out someone with a structured 16 week, paid ($16.50 per hour for 6 months) program that teaches them all of the fundamentals to becoming a Caterpillar heavy equipment technician. Upon completion of the program, they move to $20 per hour plus a productivity bonus each month. They also begin in their career development path that has a set template of how they change levels and increase pay. To make sure they have everything they need to succeed, they are brought in as a full-time employee, with full benefits, and are issued tools and toolbox worth about $6000. As they graduate the program the tools and box stay with them so that they do not have to have the Financial burden of having to buy all the tools for their trade. On their two-year anniversary of graduating the Boot Camp, the tools and toolbox become their property. This is a great program and an opportunity to start working in a field that you love.
