Hi all!
Can someone point me to the right direction?
I'm trying to find where I can buy a fresh whole pig around 60-70lbs for rotisserie. I already asked our local butcher shop and stores and all they have, and will have in case we order from them, would be frozen.
I hope someone can help.
Thanks.

I suggest looking for a farmer with pigs for sale and take it to the processor.

I quickly looked and there is an American Guinea Hog breeder in Dewey Rose, GA.
Find him and he may lead to one for your spit. That is a smaller breed and has a good quantity of lard. I have heard that the cuts are smaller and much more tasty.

Our Piggly Wiggly/IGA gets whole hogs, with a 2 or 3 day notice.

Check and see if there is a Food Depot in your area. The FD in Milledgeville has a super meat market.

I haven't heard a meat saw running in a supermarket in a long time but like BanjoJohn has advised, check with a local, smaller independently owned market if you have one nearby.
