I remember as a kid staying up late enough to see them play the national anthem complete with jet flyover before it went to snow and white noise.

Yeah, as I recall….it was the news at 11 pm followed by the late show…. Jack Parr (or someone that preceded Johnny Carson) and the station signed off at midnight…. came back on at 7 am…. at least that’s what I remember growing up in SE FL in the 50s….


There's nothing better than getting paid to look out the window....

Antenna pole?
Rabbit ears and bowtie. And if you touched them to adjust them, the signal was wrong when you took your hand away.
