What's going on with the prices of handguns?

When I win the lottery I'm gonna get an engraved Hi Point 9 with gold inlays to match my new grillz and sights mounted on the right side of the gun instead of on top. I'll be the coolest bro in de hood.
I do think the run on firearms is slowing down. Pretty much all the newbies who wanted one have got 'something' now, even if it's not exactly what they wanted.
I'm sure there will still be flare-ups of panic buying when a cop shoots someone in a locale, but at this point I think we're back into flipper territory again, where people are buying just to make a few bucks.
If you remember Sandy Hook, once the Senate shot down the UBC bill that the gun grabbers wanted, ARs came back to Earth in a few months. That was Spring 2013 and AR process had stabilized by June.
Ammo was a different story. That took almost a year for most calibers to get close to pre-SH pricing, and of course 22 took longer than that.
That'll be the long haul this time around. Assuming Trump wins the gun panic will deflate just like it did in 2016. Ammo will probably not start looking normal until next Summer though.
And of course if Biden wins, all bets are off, especially if the Dems flip the Senate as well. Beto will drive everyone nuts and you'll see the biggest rush on 'assault rifles' in history.

makes me sick just thinking about Biden winning. I keep telling myself to hold out on any new gun purchases until the first of the year...but part of me is worried about an America with Biden running the ship and maybe I should try and buy a few more guns pre-election

I hear ya...just still makes me sick either way...the state of the world in general and the thought of a Biden/Harris presidency that think the stuff going on right now in the streets of major cities is warranted and ok
Even worse/scarier is Biden being elected, then he drops dead and Kamala Harris becomes President and chooses her Vice President [can you say Stacey Abrams]. Two unelected liberal, left wing socialist democrats in charge. Same type scenario in 1973 when Nixon resigned, Ford became President and chose Rockefeller as VP. Two unelected leaders, although not near as dangerous. Thanks.
