What to do when a noob leaves a phone number in comments

Back when this site was new it wasn’t unheard of to leave a number in open forums.
Way back in the day they was the only way.
We all started out as a “newby” If you see a new guy make a mistake then just send a PM and politely explain it to him.
It’s like we have a population of Drama Queens and “Gotcha” Addicts.

Why is it so hard just to be nice?
