What Rifle are you taking on opening day

I’ve come to appreciate my Ruger in 6.5 CM. Vortex Scope. Very accurate, and a relatively inexpensive set up. I don’t have to worry about dinging it up. Hornady 129 Grain.

I've been considering getting the scout rail for my marlin. I'm picky about scopes for my lever guns though. I try to run pretty compact scopes if I use one

Winchester 94AE with a Vortex diamond back, been opening day rifle since I was 14.

My first deer rifle was a Winchester 94AE 30-30 that i scratched and clawed to save for when I was 11 or 12. My dad and I went to Oshman's at Northlake Mall in Atlanta/Tucker and I handed over close to $180 for that rifle. Regrettably I sold that rifle when I was in college. One of the only rifles I ever regret selling and I sure wish I had it back.
