OK. I'm confused.
Many people => foreign accents => not born in usa => old people => not much fun => don't laugh at your jokes. Is that it?
I guess you got me. Sexist, xenophobic (every race scares me), chauvinist, politically incorrect, right wing, Christian, gun owner, that likes dogs and even listens to old country music. When you're that outdated and antiquated you don't have much of a peer group.

The comment to the poster to which I replied had nothing to do with a BOS.....
Many of the posts don't relate to the BS BOS. The point has been made. If you buy a car, the buyer, not the seller gets the Bill of Sale. A Bill of Sale is a pre-registration document. You don't want private individuals holding paper on you for anything you own. Why let a private person hold registration documents on anything you own - especially when they will hand that information over to LEOs without a warrant?

If the person is an unlicensed dealer, you could become an accessory after the fact... Yeah, yeah, yeah, you would win in court, yada, yada, yada, but why put your self in that position in the first place?

If you sell to a thief, they now know you own, at the very minimum a firearm, and maybe more if they're setting you up to burglarize you.

If / When the SHTF comes along and Uncle Scam wants to confiscate firearms or maybe register them as a precursor to confiscation, the private individual holding paper on you will turn it over faster than the FFL dealer will turn their records over (some FFLs will require a court order to give up all their records - or I hope they would).

That's the important stuff that was discussed in this thread. Some of the rest of it is me getting bi+(# slapped for being stupid. I'm not as smart as I was 20 years ago and any guy over 50 who says they are smarter at 50 than 40 is lying to you. All those memory pills and prostate elixirs get sold for a reason. My personal claim to fame is inventing Ginko - Viagra. It helps you remember what the fu(% you were doing. And I was posting about a BOS before a brain fart sent me off on a tangent.

All this ^^^ is just superfluous back washing. I only commented on a comment(s) that had nothing to do with BOS in general. Anything else about old guys whose lives are over and all that is just a sign of the times. BTW, I have no problem with anyone asking for a BOS in an ad and I would never condemn them for doing so.
