9mm because the platform has been so well developed. Can my 10mm or my 12 guage down my pant leg put a whacking on the BG better than my 9mm? Probably. But from many of the shooting videos that I've seen (a lot, hundreds), it takes quite a bit to put a person down unless you luckily hit your target in the right spots.
