What is the actual definition of a Vertical Foregrip

Splitting hairs. It does not say perfectly vertical . It may mean more verticle than horizontal.

You do not have enough money to fight this, and would probably lose .

I agree with this. It wouldnt make any sense to give a specific number of degrees as a 91 or 89 degree vertical foregrip would serve the same purpose. Anything that hangs down would be considered a VFG in my opinion. Thats why theres handstops and Magpuls AFG to make it absolutely clear what they are not

All the "angled" fore-grips ATF is OK with
are connected to the gun all along one side, so that you can only grip them on the front edge and the left and right sides but not the back. Right? Your hand cannot encircle them. This may be a critical feature that courts or ATF in the future will use to distinguish between vertical foregrips and angled grips / hand stops.

All this interpretive nonsense from an agency who eventually 'refers' back to a 1934 Congressional Act as their wizened interpretation and basis for their "rules.".. These people are imposing what I'd call basic 2A restrictions on basic rights conditioned on the bureaucratic crap with which they've gotten away with before. They do it because gun-grabbers know they can't actually ENACT legislation that deals with any gun problem directly.

ATF was formed in 1972; before then the IRS itself dealt with the taxation aspects of federal firearms law.

ATF publishes rules and regulations under the Administrative Procedures Act, a law dating to 1946, in which Congress shifted a good deal of power to all the various federal government agencies to make small changes in the law so the Congress wouldn't have to bother passing new legislation with every new situation that comes up.

The fact that a coward Congress shifted off its problem of statute enactment to federal agencies under control of whatever leftist, gun grabbing administration STILL does not negate the basic problem we see from agencies (particularly the ATF) incrementally inch-making a MILE out of our rights' abrogation. You know this.

Do you remember the concept of "zero-based" budgeting fiscal conservatives have wanted to impose on government agencies? Make the re-justify their whole budget every two government fiscal years? They fight it tooth and nail because they are only about INCREASES. The same goes with those not so interested in money but taking out gun rights..
