I’ve been carrying a P365xl for about a year now, and I’ve been thinking about switching now that winter is here. I’m wondering if the majority of you carry a compact or sub compact, and why?

Let’s see your carry setup.

Glock 48 for warm weather.
Springfield XD45 sub compact for the winter.

Why? The G48 for warm weather is pretty obvious, I assume...I like the .45acp for cold weather because of heavy clothing (possibly) causing HP ammunition to clog up and not expand as designed, rendering it ball ammo. If I am going to shoot ball ammo, I want a BIG ball. The XD45 is also 9+1 with the flush mag, and 13+1 with the extended mag. It shoots extremely well.

Personally, I do prefer a full size .45 for winter carry, but this one shoots like a full size, and I got such a good deal on it I could not pass it up. Im glad I didn't. I really like it.

The 365xl Conceals a good better than the g48/43x and still packs more rounds in oem mags. The grip angle and length is more concealable and the mag seats flush whereas the 48 mag sticks out a good bit. More noticeable in form fitting shirts
