I took your advice from my last thread I just think my hook was to big. I could feel hits and like I said at one point my line was headed across the current. Just couldn’t hook up. Ill be looking at smaller hooks and will be back.

You can get circle hooks down to size 14. I like to use a size 10 for trouts, They look tiny, but the fishes don't swallow them. You will have to go online if your want to get some.

I've never used anything larger than a size 8 for trout, and tried to use short shank hooks so the bait will float more naturally. Salmon egg hooks work well, and are relatively easy to find, Using worms, try to just hood the skin of the worm, don't load the hook up with worm. if you cover the hook with worm, trout will suck the bait off without getting hooked.

i can tell what to fish with.. my wife an i caught these 3-4 weeks ago.. gonna go again in 2 weeks.. we love to eat these guys.....its not hook size.....it how you hold yer mouth......
