Weapon mounted lights…yea or nah? For edc

Its cold up here in the mountains. Shrinkage is bound to happen.

I don't need a light on my gun. When something spooks me I just start shooting into the darkness and then use the muzzle flash to see what it is.

Due to my travel schedule (continuous) and the places that I end up, I ALWAYS have a light on my EDC. I've found myself sleeping in gas station parking lots, pulled off in roadside rest areas at 3 or 4 in the morning, etc. - always felt like the light was a must.

IMHO - I don't see a weapon light making the difference between concealable and non-concealable. That being said, I don't carry a G17 or a Sig 226 for an EDC. I'm a big guy so I have no issue carrying my P365X or FN509c tactical both have weapon light and RMR.

If you would be needing lights it means you'd be shooting in the dark, and getting light for that circumstance doesn't seem like a bad idea but definitely not Olight.

Don’t have/want a weapon mounted light on the edc. Not good form to be pointing a pistol trying to identify an unknown threat. Or, you’re searching for something you dropped in a poorly lighted restaurant and whip out your Roscoe to light the area…
Separate handheld for me, please.
